The Endocrine Society’s new resource compiles the latest statistics and data on diabetes, a condition that affects more than 29 million people nationwide.
The diabetes chapter of the Society’s Endocrine Facts and Figures report examines how many people are affected by various types of diabetes, as well as the costs of treating them. The resource compiles the latest epidemiological data on type 1 and type 2 diabetes as well as prediabetes.
Future chapters scheduled to be published later this year will examine bone and calcium diseases, cardiovascular and lipid disorders, hypothalamic-pituitary disorders, adrenal health, cancers and neoplasias, and reproductive and development disorders.
