The Anti-Mellerian Hormone (AMH) test has been shown to be an indicator of how many fertile years some women have left, according to a report from NBC News.
The test is a simple blood analysis that usually costs less than $100 and measures the amount of AMH circulating in a woman’s bloodstream. The higher the result the more eggs, the lower the result the fewer eggs. While the test doesn’t measure the quality of the eggs or level of fertility, in the past it has been offered to women who are struggling to get pregnant.
