Endocrine Society member Patricia Brubaker, PhD, of the University of Toronto, has been recognized by the Royal Society of Canada for her accomplishments in the lab. She will join the prestigious Society as a fellow, as the University of Toronto points out.
Brubaker and her colleague, Endocrine Society member Daniel Drucker, MD, of Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto, discovered that GLP-2 is an intestinal growth factor, which could be used to treat digestive disorders like Crohn’s and colitis.
