Endocrine Society Co-Sponsors First Joint Global Symposium on Obesity at ICE-CSE 2016

When the 17th International Congress of Endocrinology/15th Annual Meeting of the Chinese Society of Endocrinology debuts in Beijing, China at the end of August, it will be the setting for the 1st Joint Global Symposium on Obesity.

This symposium is the first in a regular series of collaborative sessions organized by the Endocrine Society, International Society of Endocrinology (ISE), and the European Society of Endocrinology (ESE). These sessions will feature national, regional, and international thought leaders focusing on global endocrine issues.

This symposium focusing on obesity will have expert speakers who will present their cutting-edge research and discuss the question: “You might think you know, but why do we actually have an obesity epidemic.

Chairs for the session are Endocrine Society president Henry Kronenberg, ESE president A.J. van der Lely, and ISE secretary-treasurer Paul Stewart.

The symposium takes place on Friday September 2, from 10:15 to 11:45 a.m.
