Endometriosis Increases Heart Disease Risk in Younger Women

NBC News reported on a study published in an American Heart Association journal that women under the age of 40 with endometriosis were three times as likely to suffer a heart attack, have chest pain, or have blocked arteries when compared to women without endometriosis.

The study, from the journal Circulation: Cardiovascular Quality & Outcomes, was undertaken by a team of researchers from Brigham and Women’s Hospital who followed 120,000 women over 20 years.
