Join James Thrall, MD, chairman emeritus, Department of Radiology, Massachusetts General Hospital for a lecture exploring the work of Saul Hertz and the first therapeutic use of radioiodine (RAI) as a medical therapy. The lecture is given in recognition of the 75th benchmark of RAI and the birth of radionuclide therapy.

In addition, you can visit an exhibit that take an in-depth look at this discovery that changed the the medical world, especially how the thyroid is treated. Learn more about Hertz’s research, and see highlights of the collaboration between Massachusetts General Hospital and MIT, a true integration of the sciences.

The museum’s Saul Hertz Exhibit will be on display for a month.
